Full Job Description
TechOp Solutions seeks an experienced Team Lead to oversee regulatory compliance, human research protections, and program support activities for Government-sponsored research. This role provides strategic oversight and subject matter expertise, guiding the review, monitoring, and documentation of human subjects research to ensure alignment with federal regulations. The Team Lead works closely with federal leadership and internal teams to deliver high-quality, compliant outcomes and support continuous program improvement.
Duties:
· Provide technical leadership and serve as the point of contact for HRPG team members supporting regulatory oversight, compliance assurance, and human research protections activities.
· Oversee the review of research activities involving human subjects to ensure compliance with 6 CFR Part 46, including IRB approval, informed consent documentation, and ethical standards.
· Conduct or supervise post-approval monitoring, audits, site visits, and desk reviews for HRP compliance.
· Coordinate cross-functional and interagency engagement,
· Lead the development and maintenance of policies, directives, and instructional materials related to human research protections.
· Mentor and guide junior and mid-level team members
· Manage quality control standards for team deliverables
· Other duties, as assigned
Requirements
· Master’s degree or higher (preferred fields: STEM, health policy, law, or information technology).
· 10+ years of experience in human research protections and regulatory compliance, including demonstrated application of the Common Rule, GCP, and Government regulations.
· Deep understanding of HRPP/IRB/REC management practices
· Certified or Eligible to take the Certified IRB Professional (CIP) exam
· Profound experience in government research
· Must demonstrate strong reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TechOp, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $110,000 - $185,000.
