We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Contract Technical Designer to support our Design and Product Development teams. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the consistent fit and quality of our products, contributing to our commitment to creating comfortable and well-fitting apparel.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Tech Packs: Develop detailed tech packs including specifications, construction details, and grading information, based on design input.
- Fittings: Attend scheduled in-person fittings at our Denver HQ and provide timely, clear, and actionable feedback on fit, construction, and quality.
- Style Adjustments: Contribute to style refinements and problem-solving based on internal feedback and customer insights.
- Timely Communication: Communicate effectively and proactively with the Design and Product Development teams regarding technical specifications and fit outcomes.
- 3D Patterns: Utilize Browzwear software for 3D pattern review and making necessary adjustments to achieve desired fit and aesthetics.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrates a strong understanding of garment construction, pattern grading, and technical design principles.
- Attention to Detail: Exhibits a keen eye for accuracy and precision in all aspects of the technical design process.
- Communication: Communicates clearly, concisely, and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Problem-Solving: Identifies and analyzes fit and construction issues and proposes effective solutions.
- Time Management & Organization: Manages workload efficiently and meets deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of assigned tasks.
MUST HAVES:
- Experience in technical design for apparel (intimates preferred)
- Strong understanding of garment construction and pattern grading.
- Proficiency in creating detailed tech packs.
- Excellent fitting skills and the ability to provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Experience using Browzwear software; strong understanding and experience utilizing Browzwear to improve our efficiency and product development process.
- Availability to work in our Denver office bi-weekly.
