Junior Scientist (Human Research Protections)

TechOp Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Junior Scientist to support the Human Research Protections Team. This entry-level role provides administrative and technical assistance in support of research compliance, human subjects protections, and program operations for Government sponsored research. The Junior Scientist will assist in reviewing documentation, preparing reports, and tracking compliance activities to ensure alignment with federal regulations and ethical research standards.

Duties: 

·       Support the review and tracking of research protocols and compliance documentation.

·       Assist in organizing and maintaining regulatory files, logs, and databases.

·       Draft and edit communications, reports, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.

·       Participate in the scheduling and coordination of compliance reviews, site visits, and training sessions.

·       Conduct research and data collection to support program activities and regulatory inquiries.

·       Collaborate with HRPG team members to ensure timely and accurate task execution.

·        Other duties, as assigned

Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in science, health, policy, or a related field.

·       Up to 3 years of experience in research support, compliance, administration, or a related area (internship experience may count).

·       Basic understanding of human research protections or regulatory compliance.

·       Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability for occasional travel.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TechOp, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 - $85,000.
