About Us:

We're are hiring for a role at Divergent PR (LinkedIn: Divergent PR) a premier entertainment public relations firm specializing in consumer and awards campaigns. We represent a diverse roster of clients, from major studios, streaming platforms, independent filmmakers and film festivals. With a dynamic, creative, and strategic approach, we deliver award-winning campaigns that shape industry narratives and amplify our clients' presence in a competitive market.

Role Summary:

We're looking for a Junior Publicist to join our team. In this role, you'll be an essential part of our efforts to promote exciting film projects and support our consumer and awards campaigns. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for film who is eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with our top-notch team and build your expertise in film publicity.

What you'll do:

  • Support the team in putting together creative ways to get attention for our film projects and awards season.
  • Share information about film projects with reporters and people who write about awards.
  • Coordinate with talent during campaigns, like setting up their schedules, covering interviews, dealing with reps, etc.
  • Organize the details for press events and work with clients to make sure project needs are met.
  • Keep important documents for film projects updated and organized.
  • Create and arrange key materials for the press including screening invites and press releases
  • Attend and support publicity events like movie screenings and receptions, which sometimes happen on evenings or weekends.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience working in film and/or television public relations at an agency, studio, or distributor.
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with both consumer (general audience) and awards-focused press.
  • You're proactive, pay close attention to details, and are a dependable team member.
