Floor Plan Designer

Shepard Exposition Services is seeking a Floor Plan Designer to provide technical drafting expertise for the layout and design of convention floors and lobby areas, both locally and nationally.

Key Contributions of the Role

• Work with Sales, Account Executives, and Clients to provide clear and accurate floor plans that follow facility guidelines.
• Utilize our company online portal to work with Account Executives and Clients on floor plan requests.
• Keep up to date with the current fire marshal rules and guidelines.
• Provide floor plans for fire marshal submittal to obtain necessary permits.
• Work with the team on maintaining the DWGs/PDFs in the facility floor plan library.
• Create electrical and rigging layouts when needed for setup purposes.

Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both autonomously on tasks and collaboratively with multiple departments.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD required, ExpoCad Contractor preferred.
• Completion of a formal drafting program preferred.
• Working knowledge of convention fire code and permitting processes preferred.
• Convention and trade show experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
