EPIC Early Learning is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Team Leader to join our team. As a private, nonprofit organization, EPIC has been providing early childhood educational services to children and families in Central Washington for over 45 years. Our mission is to empower children to reach their full potential through nurturing relationships, engaging experiences, and high-quality education.
The Preschool Team Leader will be responsible for creating a positive and enriching learning environment for children in the Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP). You will collaborate with a team of educators and support staff to develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that promotes school readiness and fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and instruct the classroom to which you are assigned, collaborating with designated team members.
- Design and implement lesson plans that are developmentally suitable, adhering to the ECEAP curriculum framework and enhancing school readiness.
- Deliver personalized instruction and support tailored to the varied needs of all students, including those with disabilities and English language learners.
- Work in partnership with parents and families to establish strong connections and actively involve them in their child's education.
- Perform continuous assessments to track children's progress and utilize the information to guide instructional approaches and individualized plans.
- Organize and conduct stimulating learning experiences that encourage curiosity, exploration, and a passion for learning.
- Encourage children's social-emotional development by promoting positive behavior strategies and assisting with conflict resolution.
- Implement, support, and promote policies and procedures for Child Abuse and Neglect, Child Guidance, and Active Supervision
- Adhere to EPIC's safety protocols and maintain a culture of safety within the preschool
- Be committed to characterizing a culture of safety within our centers, playgrounds, buses and anywhere that children may be present. Be familiar with and encourage EPICs culture of "See Something, Say Something"
Requirements
· Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education or a related Field*
· 30 hours of STARS training in Childcare Basics
· Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a preschool setting
· Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
· Passionate about providing high-quality education and support to young children
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant educational technology
· Valid Washington State Driver's License & Auto insurance
*Candidates who do not meet the minimum education requirement would need to enroll in a higher education institution towards an AA in ECE, and be on a Professional Development Plan with a confirmed deadline.
Pay Level $23.78 - $28.06 per hour (non-exempt)
Position Duration: 9 months per year
Position Closes: July 18, 2025
Please note: This position is located at the center in Naches, specifically at 101 Schafer Ave, Naches, WA 98937. This role is designated for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Conditions of Employment:
- Prior to employment, complete a pre-employment drug screen, TB skin test by an EPIC approved healthcare provider at no cost to the employee.
- Pre-employment basic physical by an EPIC healthcare provider (obtain within (30) days of employment and no cost to the employee).
- Must pass an initial and periodic background check through the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).
- Provide proof of MMR vaccination and/ or resistance to Measles, Mumps & Rubella.
- Current Food Handlers card (obtain the training within 30 days of employment).
- Current First Aid/CPR card (obtain within 30 days of employment).
- Complete Childcare Basics 30 hours STARS training within 3 months of hire
- Meet the minimum education requirements within the timeframe as stated in the performance standards.
- Complete Child Abuse and Neglect training and all other mandated training.
- CEO Approval.
