ProSync is seeking a visionary AI Innovation & Automation Lead to spearhead the integration of AI and intelligent automation across our government contracts and internal initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to drive transformation, shape the future of our organization, and create scalable, high-impact innovations that could redefine industry standards. 

As the AI Innovation & Automation Lead, you will operate at the forefront of emerging technology, blending hands-on AI expertise with strategic foresight and intuition. Your mission will be to identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance service delivery, and incubate ideas with the potential to evolve into commercial products. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking technologist with an entrepreneurial spirit, eager to make a tangible impact in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

AI Integration & Solution Development 

  • Discover High-Impact Opportunities: Identify opportunities across products and services where AI can reduce human workload, improve performance, or lower cost. 
  • Build Cutting-Edge Solutions: Design and build AI-enhanced solutions, such as NLP tools, RPA bots, predictive analytics, or intelligent assistants. 
  • Leverage Industry-Leading Platforms: Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI, AWS Machine Learning) to accelerate solution development. 

Process Innovation & Optimization 

  • Reimagine Workflows: Analyze current workflows and business processes to redesign them for automation and intelligence. 
  • Deploy Intelligent Automation: Implement intelligent automation solutions (e.g., RPA + AI) to handle repetitive tasks, data extraction, compliance monitoring, etc. 
  • Collaborate for Success: Partner with operations teams to test, deploy, and iterate on process changes. 

Commercialization of Innovations 

  • Unlock Market Potential: Evaluate the market viability of in-house tools, frameworks, or models for potential commercialization. 
  • Shape Go-to-Market Strategies: Help develop go-to-market strategies for internally developed IP that could be monetized. 

Compliance, Security & Ethics 

  • Uphold Standards: Ensure all AI implementations are compliant with federal and DoD guidelines, including security, privacy, and ethical considerations. 
  • Support Audits: Lead or contribute to the preparation of documentation, risk assessments, and audit support for AI-driven processes. 

STRATEGIC EXPECTATIONS:

Innovation Leadership 

  • Inspiration for Change: Be a catalyst for innovation —drive a mindset shift in the company toward embracing smart technologies. 
  • Launch AI Labs: Run internal "AI labs" or experimentation initiatives to test new ideas with limited resources. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Bridge Teams: Work with program managers, developers, data teams, and contract SMEs to identify friction points where AI can help. 
  • Simplify Complexity: Translate complex AI concepts into actionable items for non-technical stakeholders. 

Tech Scouting & Research 

  • Stay Ahead: Stay ahead of the curve by researching emerging AI capabilities, tools, and frameworks. 
  • Test New Ideas: Propose and test Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for novel ideas or off-the-shelf AI products. 

Client-Facing Innovation 

  • Elevate Proposals: Support business development teams by crafting AI-enhanced solutions in RFPs and proposals. 
  • Showcase Expertise: Lead customer demonstrations of innovative capabilities and help differentiate your firm with next-gen tech. 

MANAGED OUTCOMES:

  • Achieve measurable reductions in manual effort through automation. 
  • Reengineer a significant percentage of internal processes with AI. 
  • Deliver quantifiable savings in operational hours or costs. 
  • Develop and test a robust pipeline of PoCs. 
  • Contribute to revenue growth through commercialized tools, where applicable. 
  • Boost proposal win-rates by integrating AI-driven differentiators. 

IDEAL BACKGROUND:

  • Experience in AI/ML, software engineering, and automation. 

Requirements

  • AI and Machine Learning Expertise - Proven hands-on experience in designing and developing AI/ML solutions across various domains.
  • Software Engineering Proficiency - Strong programming skills in Python, familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and comfortable working in command-line (CLI) environments within a Linux-based OS.
  • Process Automation Experience - Demonstrated ability to analyze, redesign, and automate business processes with a focus on enhancing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Federal Contracting Knowledge - Understanding of the federal contracting landscape and experience navigating its unique requirements and processes.
  • Education & Experience - A relevant degree (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field) with 5+ years of industry experience, or in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of professional development experience. This experience should include a blend of AI/ML development, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and/or platform integration (e.g., OpenAI, Azure AI, AWS Machine Learning).
  • Portfolio of Work - Applicants should submit a portfolio demonstrating their work on AI/ML projects, automation solutions, or innovation-driven initiatives. Supporting materials may include code repositories (e.g., GitHub), project summaries, case studies, or client endorsements.
